About Me

I graduated with Masters in Business Analytics and Project Management from University of Connecticut. During my time there, I led pro-bono consulting platform that connected Local NGOs with skills-ready analytics students as the Vice President of Net Impact. Further, as a Research Assistant, I predicted population from satellite-derived nighttime light imagery using neural networks.

After college, I worked as Business Intelligence Engineer for Cerebra. I influenced Workforce Recruitment and Retention Strategy of ABM Industries through ML-driven monthly attrition forecasting

I’m now Business Intelligence Engineer II at Amazon’s Buyer Risk Protection team. I led various fraud-prevention initiatives to protect Amazon customers from bad actors. I also helped expand payment options of Amazon Customers as analytics owner of emerging Payment Products.

My goal is to become a Product Manager and lead products that solve interesting challenges which, if solved, can have a huge impact on the world.

Outside of work, I love traveling and taking pictures. At the turn of this year, I began writing for my blog: Dumb History of Everything. Check out some of my articles here!

Style Swipe

Amazon's current shopping experience overwhelms users with endless product lists, leading to choice paralysis. The proposed Amazon Style Swipe introduces a card-based interface for engaging and personalized fashion discovery.

Carbon Aware Refunds

Encourage eco-conscious shopping by displaying the environmental impact of product returns in relatable terms (e.g., "driving 15 miles") during the return process. This feature aims to reduce unnecessary returns and promote sustainability through informed customer decisions.

FAQ

  • Empathy is my biggest superpower, it comes naturally to me. I spent six years learning how to deeply understand people's problems while preparing to work for the Indian Government. That experience taught me how to listen, identify pain points, and prioritize solutions. At Amazon, I use these skills to understand customer needs, anticipate their challenges, and be their voice in building products that truly solve their problems.

  • I rely on data-informed prioritization to make thoughtful decisions. I gather both qualitative and quantitative insights to ensure my decisions align with our key goals. Every Friday, I organize my action items into must-haves, should-haves, and could-haves to plan the upcoming week. I ensure stakeholders are kept informed by clearly communicating my priorities, sharing the rationale behind decisions, and setting realistic expectations

  • I follow a structured approach to learn and improve:

    1. Introspection: I step back to analyze the root cause, identify what can be salvaged, and prioritize fixing it.

    2. Feedback and Mentorship: I gather feedback from those affected by the setback and seek advice from individuals who have succeeded where I fell short.

    3. Iterate and Improve: Armed with these insights, I approach the challenge again—more prepared and with heightened awareness.

At Amazon, I’ve realized that I often look at problems through a unique lens- I owe that to my past failures and everything they taught me.
